He proudly earned his diploma from MacEwan University in 2023, and his journey into the world of alternative medicine has been nothing short of fulfilling. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, his commitment to well-being has evolved to encompass a diverse range of specialties. He is a certified radial shockwave therapist with over 8 years of experience treating with this revolutionary regenerative technology. Additionally, he specializes in musculoskeletal treatments, women's health, mental health, and alleviating various forms of body pain. His unique background allows him to approach healthcare with a comprehensive and integrative perspective.
Acupuncture, in particular, holds a special place in Josh's heart. Its profound impact on overall health and its ability to address a multitude of concerns has never ceased to amaze him. He is dedicated to harnessing the power of acupuncture to promote balance, harmony, and healing in the lives of his patients.

​Kati co-owns Utopia MediSpa with her husband, Ryan, bringing together her passion for skin health, fitness, and the science of chronic disease with a uniquely comprehensive approach to aesthetics. With 17 years of experience spanning medical regeneration and the spa industry, Kati spent nearly a decade in executive leadership and teaching roles before opening Utopia. She holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Alberta and has pursued extensive aesthetics education and training since 2012.

For Kati, exceptional treatment goes beyond what meets the eye. Her background in health and human movement allows her to recognize the connections between skin, overall wellness, and the body’s biomechanics. Whether identifying biomechanical concerns during a pedicure, recognizing lifestyle factors that may affect the skin, or recommending a referral to a dermatologist when needed, Kati takes pride in seeing the bigger picture. Her thoughtful treatments, thorough client education, and commitment to meaningful results have earned her the trust of the clients she serves.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Kati now calls Summerside in Edmonton home, where she lives with Ryan, their two sons, and three cats. A foodie at heart, she loves cooking and also enjoys golfing, paddleboarding, and gardening. When time allows, she treasures a good movie with her family.

Sarah continues to be committed to continuous learning and growth in the field of massage therapy so she can always offer top-notch service.

Jake utilizes a treatment style that blends therapeutic massage with relaxation and movement-based techniques. His approach is personalized to each client, whether they’re looking to manage persistent tension and discomfort, improve mobility and flexibility, support an active lifestyle, or simply take some time to decompress.

With a background in personal training and additional education in assisted stretching, Thai-style stretching, IASTM and myofascial techniques, Jake enjoys looking beyond just where something hurts. He incorporates movement, mobility and hands-on assessment into his treatments to help identify areas of restriction and create a treatment that feels both effective and restorative.
​
Jake particularly enjoys working with neck and shoulder tension, low back and hip discomfort, mobility restrictions, and clients who are active or returning to exercise and sport. Treatments can range from focused therapeutic work to a more relaxing full-body approach depending on what each client needs that day.
Originally from the UK, Jake has called Canada home since 2016. Outside the treatment room, you’ll usually find him at the gym, exploring the outdoors, listening to music, or catching up on the latest Drag Race.
Mickey Rajput

Mickey is a passionate Lash Technician with over five years of experience helping clients enhance their natural beauty through safe, high-quality lash extension services tailored to their individual style and preferences.
Clients often compliment her on excellent lash retention, gentle application technique, and commitment to protecting the health of their natural lashes while ensuring a comfortable, relaxing experience. Mickey believes beautiful lashes should never come at the expense of natural lash health.
Mickey regularly invests in continuing education and training to stay current with the latest techniques, trends, styles, and high-quality products, allowing her to provide the best possible results for every client.
Outside of lashing, Mickey works part-time with Legal Aid Alberta. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, going on long drives, and dancing. One of her personal goals is to learn how to swim when she has more free time.

She offers IV/IM therapy, Fat Dissolving Injections, MESOtherapy, and Microneedling at this time, with plans to add neuromodulator and filler injections to her treatment offerings in the future. Say goodbye to laxity, wrinkles, and fine lines!

In her time away from Utopia, Mele works full time as a med-surge nurse for Alberta Health Services. Originally from Eritrea, she now lives in South Edmonton with her husband, son, and daughter. Phyllis Essibrah, RN

Phyllis has been a part of the Utopia nursing team since our very first year in business, and we’re so fortunate to have her! Phyllis completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) at the University of Alberta and has been a Registered Nurse for six years.

In her hospital practice with Alberta Health Services, Phyllis works as a Surgical Float RN, providing care across a variety of specialties including General & Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, and Thoracics. Her diverse clinical experience has given her a strong foundation in patient care, clinical assessment, and surgical nursing.
​
At Utopia, Phyllis brings that same expertise and attention to detail to aesthetic nursing. She has a special interest in neuromodulators and dermal filler, while also providing the full range of nursing services offered at Utopia. Beyond her clinical expertise, Phyllis is known for her warm, compassionate approach and genuine commitment to making every client feel comfortable and cared for.
Outside of nursing, Phyllis is a proud mom to two beautiful children, who keep her busy and bring her plenty of joy and a chaotic world.
Susan Tahaghoghi, RN, BScN

Susan is a Registered Nurse with a background in medical aesthetics and dermatology-focused care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the United States and maintains active Registered Nurse licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.

She brings extensive medical and aesthetic experience from her previous clinical practice and has completed multiple training programs and certifications in cosmetic medicine and medical aesthetics in Canada and internationally.
Her aesthetic experience includes facial assessment and balancing, neuromodulators and dermal fillers using MD Codes™ techniques, PRP/PRF skin and hair treatments, skin and hair boosters, mesotherapy, and microneedling. She is experienced in laser hair removal and chemical peels, as well as treatments for vascular and pigmented lesions, including melasma.
Her therapeutic Botox treatments include chronic migraine, excessive sweating of the underarms, palms and feet, chronic neck and shoulder pain and tension, and shoulder contouring.

With a strong focus on facial anatomy, injection techniques, and patient safety, Susan combines clinical knowledge with aesthetic expertise to create personalized treatment plans focused on natural-looking results. She takes the time to understand each patient’s goals and unique features, with an approach designed to enhance—not change—their natural appearance.
Kendria (Kenzo) Herman

Meet Kenzo. With a passion for aesthetics, wellness, and helping people feel confident in their skin, she joins the Utopia team as a Master Aesthetician with a diverse background in advanced aesthetics and luxury spa services.
She is certified and experienced in laser treatments, microneedling, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, tinting, chemical peels, dermaplaning, hydrofacial, acoustic wave therapy, and radiofrequency treatments. She also brings extensive product knowledge and experience working with respected professional skincare lines, including iS Clinical and Eminence Organics.

Throughout her career, Kenzo has had the opportunity to work in some of Alberta’s premier five-star spa environments, including the Royal Glenora Spa and the Fairmont Banff Springs, where she developed a strong appreciation for exceptional client care and elevated spa experiences.
Always looking to grow, Kenzo has continued her education by pursuing a Diploma in Business Administration and Spa Management with a focus on Human Resources and Marketing. She is excited to bring this additional knowledge to Utopia and contribute not only to the client experience, but also to the continued growth and development of the business.
After taking some well-deserved time away from the industry to focus on motherhood (IYKYK 😉), she is excited to be returning to the workplace and doing what she loves. She'll be seeing Utopia clients primarily evenings and weekends, making her a great addition for clients looking for more flexible appointment times.

When she's not at Utopia, you'll most likely find her enjoying the limited downtime that comes with having a young family—spending time with her hubby, son, and her cats. We’re so excited to have her back in the world of aesthetics and officially part of the Utopia team!
