Welcome to Josh's practice. He is a dedicated Doctor of Acupuncture with a passion for holistic healing. He proudly earned his diploma from MacEwan University in 2023, and his journey into the world of alternative medicine has been nothing short of fulfilling. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, his commitment to well-being has evolved to encompass a diverse range of specialties. He is a certified radial shockwave therapist with over 8 years of experience treating with this revolutionary regenerative technology. Additionally, he specializes in musculoskeletal treatments, women's health, mental health, and alleviating various forms of body pain. His unique background allows him to approach healthcare with a comprehensive and integrative perspective.
Acupuncture, in particular, holds a special place in Josh's heart. Its profound impact on overall health and its ability to address a multitude of concerns has never ceased to amaze him. He is dedicated to harnessing the power of acupuncture to promote balance, harmony, and healing in the lives of his patients.

Kati Luknowsky, BKin
Kinesiologist
Advanced Skin Care Treatments
Kati is the Director of Operations and part owner of Utopia MediSpa. She has a passion for skin care, fitness, and the epidemiology of chronic disease. She has worked between the medical and spa field for 13 years, performing in an executive role for over a decade until she opened Utopia. She is passionate about her clinic days, offering aesthetics services at this time. She is also happy to help clients with any light nutrition, stretching, or strength programs needed to relieve pain, improve mobility, or just to feel better.

Kati has a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Alberta in addition to extensive skin care training. She has always had a passion for serving the community in which she lives. Originally from Nova Scotia, she now resides in Summerside, Edmonton, with her husband, 2 sons, and 3 cats. She is a foodie at heart and loves to cook. She also enjoys golfing, paddleboarding and gardening; in her minimal spare time, she enjoys a good movie with family.
Chanelle Lowery

Chanelle is an Aesthetician part owner of Utopia MediSpa. She has been an aesthetician for over 13 years, receiving her certification in Vancouver in 2010. She is a master aesthetician, skillfully performing all advanced spa and medispa treatments offered at Utopia. She is an experienced facial specialist, a Brazilian waxing extraordinaire, a whiz at all nail services, and a microneedling expert (coming October 2023); she thrives on making each client’s experience the very best. Chanelle is always looking for learning opportunities and advancing her skills to enhance client experience. She has recently added VCarbon Peels, MESOtherapy, Universkin S.tep treatments, and dermaplaning to her service offerings, with hopes to incorporate Microcurrent Therapy into her treatment regime by 2024. Her expert-level knowledge of Eminence Organics Skin Care (coming November 2023) puts most of us to shame and her facials are arguably some of the best in Edmonton. She has been an extremely popular therapist at every spa in which she has worked, booking weeks out during certain seasons. Trust us when we tell you, she is 100% worth the wait!

Chanelle is inspired by her children and plays the role of Supermom to her two beautiful daughters, a dog, and a cat, rather expertly. She secretly enjoys singing and dancing around the house when she has it all to herself. She loves camping and outdoor time with her family, frequently jetting off on spontaneous road trips to find a new swimming hole or simply to escape from the city grind. She works as hard for her business as she does for her family, always taking the time to listen and to make her clients and friends feel important and cared for.
Mele Drar, LPN

Medical Aesthetics
Mele has a passion for health, beauty, skin care, fitness, and caring for her clients and colleagues. She has worked between the medical and beauty field for....longer than you'd ever believe... ;). She offers IV/IM therapy, Fat Dissolving Injections, MESOtherapy, and Microneedling at this time, with plans to add neuromodulator and filler injections to her treatment offerings in the future. Say goodbye to laxity, wrinkles, and fine lines!

In her time away from Utopia, Mele works full time as a med-surge nurse for Alberta Health Services. Originally from Eritrea, she now lives in South Edmonton with her husband, son, and daughter. She has a passion for health & fitness, skin care, and cosmetics. Come meet this sweet, fun soul, and leave looking and feeling awesome.
Megan Koch, RN
Registered Nurse
Nurse Injector
Megan received her Bachelor of Nursing through the University of Calgary and has been a practicing Registered Nurse for over 13 years. Before having her children, she worked in management as an MDS coordinator. Since then, she has been working predominantly in long-term care, working with and caring for our senior population.

Megan is also certified in Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport/etc), Fillers, and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections and will be offering these treatments at our clinic, along with FARSK IV drips and Mesotherapy. With her infectious smile, warm personality and years of experience, she will have every single patient feeling at ease before, during, and after their treatments.

Megan has a passion for fitness and health (especially step aerobics! ;)...). In her personal time, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and 2 girls, camping, skiing, or going on a river valley adventure searching for owls and birdwatching.
Sarah Duckett, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Sarah is driven by a genuine desire to help people and make a positive impact on others' lives. With first-hand knowledge of how debilitating pain can be and how much it impacts your life, Sarah knew her empathy, compassion, and dedication to supporting others would make massage therapy the right fit for her.
Sarah graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy with honors and distinction, and she brings enthusiasm and passion for helping others through the healing power of massage. She is dedicated to creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for all of her clients, tailoring each treatment with her well-rounded skillset to ensure the best care. Sarah continues to be committed to continuous learning and growth in the field of massage therapy so she can always offer top-notch service.

When Sarah isn't honing her skills, you will find her exploring nature, creating memories, and enjoying quality time with her furry friend and loved ones. Sarah truly values the joy and happiness that comes from experiencing the beauty of the great outdoors and brings that appreciation into all aspects of her life.
Ryan Luknowsky
Part Owner
Ryan does not actively offer treatments at Utopia MediSpa; however, he has been crucial to its inception and growth since before Day 1. He is a part-owner of Utopia, along with his wife, Kati, and colleague, Chanelle.
Ryan is an avid athlete and maintains a regular gym routine. He believes that staying active and physically fit is particularly important as we age and has a keen interest in nutrition and supplementation. Ryan currently works full time in the trades to help fund the Utopia dream; however, you may find him offering some fitness training and nutrition coaching with the team in the future.

Ryan has family all over Canada, particularly on each coast; however, he considers Alberta home. In his limited free time, he enjoys golfing and paddleboarding with his family, watching a good movie, or hanging out with his family (including his beloved cats). :-)​
Mia Bierman
Clinic Coordinator
Mia is our Clinic Manager and skin care consultant. She is the friendly and knowledgeable face behind the counter at Utopia.
​
Over the last several years, Mia has worked in a diverse range of health care clinics, from optical to rehab to spa. She has a keen interest in skin care education and is passionate about the science and chemistry behind the product. She is determined to help Utopia clients find the best possible product for their skin and/or the best possible treatment based on their concerns. Most deeply appreciate her matchmaking prowess. ;-)

In her limited spare time, Mia enjoys playing board games, learning about history (particularly the obscure areas), immersing herself in nature, and cuddling her 2 awesome cats.
