Welcome to Josh's practice. He is a dedicated Doctor of Acupuncture with a passion for holistic healing. He proudly earned his diploma from MacEwan University in 2023, and his journey into the world of alternative medicine has been nothing short of fulfilling. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, his commitment to well-being has evolved to encompass a diverse range of specialties. He is a certified radial shockwave therapist with over 8 years of experience treating with this revolutionary regenerative technology. Additionally, he specializes in musculoskeletal treatments, women's health, mental health, and alleviating various forms of body pain. His unique background allows him to approach healthcare with a comprehensive and integrative perspective.
Acupuncture, in particular, holds a special place in Josh's heart. Its profound impact on overall health and its ability to address a multitude of concerns has never ceased to amaze him. He is dedicated to harnessing the power of acupuncture to promote balance, harmony, and healing in the lives of his patients.

Kati Luknowsky, BKin
Kinesiologist
Advanced Skin Care Treatments
Kati is the Director of Operations and part owner of Utopia MediSpa. She is also the Chief Editor of Utopia Wellness Magazine. She has a passion for skin care, fitness, and the epidemiology of chronic disease. She has worked between the medical and spa field for 13 years, performing in an executive role for over a decade until she opened Utopia. She is passionate about her clinic days, offering aesthetics services at this time. She is also happy to help clients with any light nutrition, stretching, or strength programs needed to relieve pain, improve mobility, or just to feel better.

Kati has a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Alberta in addition to extensive skin care training. She has always had a passion for serving the community in which she lives. Originally from Nova Scotia, she now resides in Summerside, Edmonton, with her husband, 2 sons, and 3 cats. She is a foodie at heart and loves to cook. She also enjoys golfing, paddleboarding and gardening; in her minimal spare time, she enjoys a good movie with family.

Chanelle is the Spa Director and part owner of Utopia MediSpa. She oversees hiring, training, and management of all spa team members. She has been an aesthetician for over 13 years, receiving her certification in Vancouver in 2010. She is a master aesthetician, skillfully performing all advanced spa and medispa treatments offered at Utopia. She is an experienced facial specialist, a Brazilian waxing extraordinaire, a whiz at all nail services, and a microneedling expert (coming October 2023); she thrives on making each client’s experience the very best. Chanelle is always looking for learning opportunities and advancing her skills to enhance client experience. She has recently added VCarbon Peels, MESOtherapy, Universkin S.tep treatments, and dermaplaning to her service offerings, with hopes to incorporate Microcurrent Therapy into her treatment regime by 2024. Her expert-level knowledge of Eminence Organics Skin Care (coming November 2023) puts most of us to shame and her facials are arguably some of the best in Edmonton. She has been an extremely popular therapist at every spa in which she has worked, booking weeks out during certain seasons. Trust us when we tell you, she is 100% worth the wait!

Chanelle is inspired by her children and plays the role of Supermom to her two beautiful daughters, a dog, and a cat, rather expertly. She secretly enjoys singing and dancing around the house when she has it all to herself. She loves camping and outdoor time with her family, frequently jetting off on spontaneous road trips to find a new swimming hole or simply to escape from the city grind. She works as hard for her business as she does for her family, always taking the time to listen and to make her clients and friends feel important and cared for.
Mele Drar, LPN

Mele has a passion for health, beauty, skin care, fitness, and caring for her clients and colleagues. She has worked between the medical and beauty field for....longer than you'd ever believe... ;). She offers Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRP/PRF) injections (coming in 2024), IV therapy, MESOtherapy, VCarbon Peel Treatments, and Microneedling at this time, with plans to add neuromodulator and filler injections to her treatment offerings by 2026. Say goodbye to laxity, wrinkles, and fine lines!

In her time away from Utopia, Mele works full time as a med-surge nurse for Alberta Health Services. Originally from Eritrea, she now lives in South Edmonton with her husband, son, and daughter. She has a passion for health & fitness, skin care, and cosmetics. Come meet this sweet, fun soul, and leave looking and feeling awesome.
Megan Koch
Registered Nurse
Nurse Injector
Megan received her Bachelor of Nursing through the University of Calgary and has been a practicing Registered Nurse for over 13 years. Before having her children, she worked in management as an MDS coordinator. Since then, she has been working predominantly in long-term care, working with and caring for our senior population.

Megan is also certified in Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport/etc), Fillers, and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections and will be offering these treatments at our clinic, along with FARSK IV drips and Mesotherapy. With her infectious smile, warm personality and years of experience, she will have every single patient feeling at ease before, during, and after their treatments.

Megan has a passion for fitness and health (especially step aerobics! ;)...). In her personal time, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and 2 girls, camping, skiing, or going on a river valley adventure searching for owls and birdwatching.
Sarah Duckett

Sarah is driven by a genuine desire to help people and make a positive impact on others' lives. With first-hand knowledge of how debilitating pain can be and how much it impacts your life, Sarah knew her empathy, compassion, and dedication to supporting others would make massage therapy the right fit for her.
Sarah graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy with honors and distinction, and she brings enthusiasm and passion for helping others through the healing power of massage. She is dedicated to creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for all of her clients, tailoring each treatment with her well-rounded skillset to ensure the best care. Sarah continues to be committed to continuous learning and growth in the field of massage therapy so she can always offer top-notch service.

Bilikis Adelaja

Pain Management Specialist
Meet Bilikis. She is a Registered Massage Therapist with a post-graduate certificate in pain management from the University of Alberta. She received her advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy right here in Edmonton.

In addition to her massage therapy training, Bilikis has a Master of Physical Therapy from Nigeria, where she worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Lagos teaching hospital. Since moving to Canada, she has worked predominantly in leadership roles in rehabilitation for Alberta Health Services. She is currently in the process of completing her Manual Osteopathy diploma.

Bilikis has a drive to improve the quality of life of her clients using a natural and holistic approach to help them heal their bodies. She specializes in pain management, health, and wellness massage. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Malvina Grelecka
Registered Massage Therapist
Malvina has always had a heart for helping and healing others. Her most enjoyable classes were biology and English, so finding a career had to land upon these interests. Coming out of high school, Malvina worked with the elderly and individuals with mental and physical disabilities. She imagined becoming a nurse, but her aversion to blood and needles made her second guess the idea. That’s when she enrolled into the MaKami College 3000 Hour Massage Therapy program in Edmonton, Alberta.
There are some things that secondary schooling can’t teach you and that’s definitely true for RMT's. The experience and confidence Malvina has gained over her 15 year massage therapy career has lead her to cultivate a variety of specialties. She excels in deep tissue, pregnancy massage, and even cupping treatment. Malvina's goal is to heal you as quickly and comfortably as possible. It’s all about customizing your treatment plan to suit the specific needs of your body. It’s about a pain _release_, not a pain _infliction_. Balance is the key.
In her spare time, Malvina enjoys travelling, singing, cooking, hiking , and spending time with her family and friends.
Teisha Tribble

Clinic Administration
Teisha is a licensed aesthetician and also works in Clinic Admin. She is new to Edmonton and is excited to welcome new clients at Utopia. She graduated from Okanagan Cosmetology Institute in 2018 and worked at two luxury spas in Penticton, B.C.

Teisha is deeply passionate about all things skin care and massage. She has gravitated to work alongside Registered Massage Therapists to broaden her understanding of massage techniques. Teisha is highly empathic and believes that when the body is put into a positive parasympathetic state, it has the ability to heal itself from the inside out. She plans to expand her skillset into more advanced skin care modalities in the future as she grows with Utopia.

In her downtime, Teisha enjoys spending quality time with her partner and cat, immersing herself in nature, and trying to eat at as many sushi restaurants in Edmonton as possible.
Mia Bierman
Clinic Administration
Mia is our administrative and skin care consultant. She is the friendly and knowledgeable face behind the counter at Utopia. Currently completing a Business Administration diploma at NAIT, her long term goals are to work in the Human Resources field.

Over the last several years, Mia has worked in a diverse range of health care clinics, from optical to rehab to spa. She has a keen interest in skin care education and is passionate about the science and chemistry behind the product. She is determined to help Utopia clients find the best possible product for their skin and/or the best possible treatment based on their concerns. Most deeply appreciate her matchmaking prowess. ;-)

In her limited spare time, Mia enjoys playing board games, learning about history (particularly the obscure areas), immersing herself in nature, and cuddling her 2 awesome cats.
Tanya Malesevich
Registered Massage Therapist
Tanya is a Registered Massage Therapist known for therapeutic outcomes through biomechanical correction. She is a graduate of the Alberta College of Massage Therapy and has a keen focus on athletic and deep tissue massage.

Tanya is always ready for a challenge and has an excellent knowledge of the interconnectedness of different areas within the body. She can achieve results in even the most stubborn muscle tissue that refuses to release. The general trend from her clients is that they experience true relief after a treatment, even after years of pain.
​
Tanya listens to your body and to you, budgeting her time accordingly to treat both objective and subjective concerns. She explains her process as she works through it, which many clients appreciate when suffering from a chronic injury or pain.

In her time away from Utopia, Tanya runs a successful mobile massage business and enjoys spending time with her beautiful doggo. Come on in and see Tanya today for relief you can feel. We love her and so will you!
Ryan Luknowsky
Part Owner
Ryan does not actively offer treatments at Utopia MediSpa; however, he has been crucial to its inception and growth since before Day 1. He is a part-owner of Utopia, along with his wife, Kati, and colleague, Chanelle.
Ryan is an avid athlete and maintains a regular gym routine. He believes that staying active and physically fit is particularly important as we age and has a keen interest in nutrition and supplementation. Ryan currently works full time in the trades to help fund the Utopia dream; however, you may find him offering some fitness training and nutrition coaching with the team in the future.

Ryan has family all over Canada, particularly on each coast; however, he considers Alberta home. In his limited free time, he enjoys golfing and paddleboarding with his family, watching a good movie, or hanging out with his family (including his beloved cats). :-)​
Kaitlyn Baier, B.Ed.
Reiki Practitioner
Yoga Instructor
Kaitlyn is reshaping a successful teaching career to pursue her passion for holistic health, fitness, and energy healing. Kaitlyn adds an additional dimension of health services to Utopia, using treatment techniques based on ancient principles to help facilitate the balance and flow of energy in the body. Reiki treatment can help individuals feel lighter, more fulfilled, more focused, more relaxed, and many clients experience a physical stress reduction in addition to a spiritual one. Some clients will experience an emotional release during or shortly after treatment.
​
Kaitlyn is a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner and is in the process of finishing her yoga certifications. She is a wonderful source of positive energy on our team and has one of the purest personalities you will ever come across. She is well-suited to the career path she has chosen. We are certain the children will miss her dearly as she has the innate ability to connect and whisper to each individual's unique personality, as we have personally witnessed. We are so fortunate that she has chosen Utopia to call home. In her spare time, Kaitlyn loves to travel the globe and explore new cultures.

Kaitlyn will be offering Reiki treatments over the summer months, adding yoga classes and 1-on-1 yoga sessions in September of 2023. How exciting! Stay tuned for updates and class information.
