De-Coding Pumpkin Colors

If you are participating in Halloween festivities this year you may want to keep an eye out for these specific bucket and pumpkin colours. 👀👀 They might just mean something important!

🎃🎃🎃

Teal Pumpkins and Buckets

If you see a teal pumpkin, it means that the house is allergy-friendly, offering alternatives to candy such as

stickers and glow sticks. A teal bucket means "I have allergies".

🎃🎃🎃

Blue Buckets

If you see a blue bucket, it means "I have autism". The child may not speak or make eye contact. They could be sensitive to loud noises, and they may take more time to pick out their favorite candy.

🎃🎃🎃

Purple Pumpkins and Buckets

A purple pumpkin means that someone in the house has epilepsy or is equipped to help with a seizure. A purple bucket means "I have epilepsy" and may be sensitive to lights.

🎃🎃🎃

Pink Pumpkins

If you see a pink pumpkin, it means that someone in the house is supporting the fight against breast cancer. They may have donated to a Pink Pumpkin auction, made their own in support of a good cause, or be struggling with their own diagnosis or that of a loved one.
