Did you know? 👀 Massage, Acupuncture, and Cancer Care

Due to the nature of their work, massage therapists will touch you physically in a way that a family physician rarely would, and consistently at that. This means that they can often pick up on even the most minute changes in your body with each visit. It is more common than you'd believe for manual therapists to locate a lump and refer to a physician's care for prompt diagnosis. Massage also promotes lymph drainage, which helps to flush toxins from the body that may be harmful or hindering to the healing process.

In addition to massage, acupuncture has long been toted as an effective way to naturally maintain immunity and overall well-being. It can be effective for early intervention and long-term prevention; however, it is particularly useful for patients experiencing cancer fatigue, including the pain/neuropathy, nausea, and insomnia often associated with cancer treatment.
